Description
Our three volumes of Pieces for the Bass Viol Lesson, published in 2012, have enjoyed great popularity ever since (G221, G222, G223). This has encouraged us to present a supplementary volume featuring 34 additional pieces of moderate difficulty spanning two centuries. With these editions, our goal is to help students develop the appropriate playing technique not through etudes, but by using original pieces from the rich viola da gamba repertoire.
Contents volume IV: Othmayr, Morley, Lawes, Praetorius, Gibbons, Buxtehude, Kühnel, Christopher Simpson, Snep, Schenck, Finger, Sainte-Colombe le fils, Heudelinne, Telemann, Dubuisson, Boismortier, Senallié, Gorton, Galuppi, Abel, Corrette
